My Story
Samantha Weaver, OTR/L is from southwest VA. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Radford University. Samantha moved to Harrisonburg where she attended James Madison University for her Masters in Occupational Therapy. Samantha is licensed as an occupational therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and registered with the National Board of Certification for OT.
Samantha has been practicing as an OT for 11 years. She has experience with inpatient rehabilitation settings helping individuals recover from a variety of diagnoses. Samantha is certified in Saebo, which provides various hand/wrist supports and devices for individuals recovering from brain injuries. She has experience in providing training and assistive technology to meet patients’ needs, varying from equipment to help with basic Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), cooking, or helping patients in their work settings. Additionally, Samantha has experience working in Skilled Nursing Facilities, helping individuals recover to gain strength and return home. Samantha is passionate about helping her patients meet goals and encouraging them along the way.
